In 2024, Boltfish analysed the value pockets for batteries on locomotives used for freight transport across Europe for NEXRAIL. In 2026, development started on the software that controls these batteries.

Boltfish is IT carrier for TenneT with an aFRR service, providing BSPs with low-barrier access to the aFRR market. BSPs only need to configure their pool of assets and place bids. The service handles all communication between TenneT's Crowd Balancing Platform Equigy and the BSP and controls the BSP's assets.
Boltfish's Fleet Manager provides a complete solution for controlling flexible assets. It supports multi-market control (including imbalance, GOPACS) of solar, wind and batteries based on complex rule combinations. The service includes integrations with the EMS systems of Withthegrid (Teleport) and Embion.
